Column Name Format Description
*EMPLID VARCHAR2 (11) The EMPLID (also known as ISIS ID) is generated by the ISIS system. EMPLID is a unique identifier for an individual and will never be changed throughout the individual’s relationship with the University. This is not the same as Campus_ID or RARS_ID.
DEGREE VARCHAR2 (8) UW-Madison offers over 300 unique degrees. This is the code associated with the individual’s specific degree(s). An individual may have more than one degree. A list of degree codes is attached in the appendix of the documentation for data view uw.alumni_degree.
STDNT_DEGR VARCHAR2 (2) This is the number of the degree. The degrees are numbered sequentially, so that 01 is generally the first degree received. This field is used primarily to link to the UW-Alumni_Degree data view.
ACAD_PLAN VARCHAR2 (10) In this data view, only three of the ten characters of the ISIS Academic Plan are being used. For alumni with an electronic student record, this field is not the actual the ACAD_PLAN recorded in ISIS, but rather reflects the major code embedded in the academic plan code. Thus, it is also the major code for those alumni who do not have an electronic record. A list of codes is in the appendix.
DESCR VARCHAR2(100) This is the description of the academic plan/major that appears on the transcript; In most instances this description will include only the subject area, but in some cases may have the degree embedded in the description.
ACAD_PLAN_TYPE VARCHAR2 (3) Valid Values are:
CON = Concentration
CRT = Certificate
HON = Honors
MAJ = Major
MIN = Minor
NON = No Plan Associated
PRP = Preparation
RTC = ROTC
SP = Specialization Certificate
EXTRACT_DATE_TIME DATE Date and time of the most recently extracted data from the ISIS database.
