April 2025. EAP Tableau content including Workday roles and EAP Tableau access.

During our April meeting, we:

  • Shared EAP (Enterprise Analytics Platform) Tableau content.
  • Reviewed what is known about Workday roles and EAP Tableau access.
  • Discussed the processes to access EAP data for resources created by EAP and DAPIR.

The PowerPoint, which includes screenshots of EAP Tableau content, is available. We wrapped up by having some fun exploring the 2024-2025 Data Digest

EAP Tableau content

Several Tableau workbooks populated with EAP test data were highlighted, providing a sample of available content. Of the workbooks shown, EAP owns three workbooks and DAPIR one. They are currently populated with test data until Workday is live. The workbooks highlighted were:

  • UW Organizations Workbook (EAP)
  • UW Workforce Profile (EAP)
  • GL Expense Report (EAP)
  • WD GL Full Detail (DAPIR)

The session’s PowerPoint has additional information about each of the workbooks shared.

Workday roles and EAP Tableau access

Remember, access to EAP Tableau workbooks will be connected to your Workday role. A new process has been implemented to auto-assign users to EAP Tableau Groups based on their Workday role assignments. A Tableau dashboard (VPN required) shares how mappings have been applied. Because security role assignments are not yet complete in Workday, they will be updated sporadically until Workday is live.

EAP Tableau reminders

EAP’s Tableau Workbooks webpage provides several key pieces of information, including:

  • A comprehensive list of expected workbooks.
  • The ability to request access to Tableau content (if not auto-assigned).
  • A form to submit functional questions about Workday data.

Another avenue to ask your EAP questions is their monthly Tableau Community of Practice meeting on the first Friday of each month.
