March 2025. Review of EAP and its data sources in Tableau.

Meeting Summary

Stacy Scholtka, Director of Enterprise Architecture and Planning, and David Blough, Policy and Planning Analyst from the Universities of Wisconsin, joined us during our March meeting.

Stacy began by providing an overview of EAP (Enterprise Analytics Platform), the centralized data platform for Workday analytics and reporting across the UW System. The presentation’s highlights included a review of available data, a sample of data equivalents from the current sources to Workday, and data security in EAP’s Tableau environment.

David demonstrated the availability of EAP data sources in Tableau and the option to create your own analysis. You can use this option if you want to, but it is essential to understand that it is not expected or necessary. After Workday is live:

  • DAPIR will continue to maintain UW–Madison’s Tableau environment populated with institutional workbooks.
  • Workday reports will be available. DAPIR’s BI Developers will be among the initial group of report writer experts.
  • You can continue using your query tools.
