Lonnie Morgan, UW-Madison ATP Data & Reporting Strategy Lead, provided valuable information about what to expect in the first six months after Workday goes live and asked us about our go-live Workday data concerns. Additionally, his PowerPoint presentation reviews new data sources, when to use them, and how to access them.
Stabilization—a focus for the first six months
On July 7, data flows and integrations will begin to stream from Workday. Systems determined to be critical will be in place and functioning. What is next? The first six months after go-live will focus on stabilization, including updating data and reporting systems that were not a part of the go-live activities. Data and reporting systems include UW–Madison’s Tableau reports and numerous ad hoc queries that many of you conduct on a daily basis.
Post-launch support systems will be in place at the time of go-live. Hypercare is a period of intensive, post-launch support, and HR, finance, and research administration teams are setting up their process so they can answer your questions. Check with your local operation teams for your contacts. You can also submit a ticket using GetHelpUW.
Poll results for go-live concerns
EAP Redshift querying and data sources represented your top concern from a Workday data perspective. EAP hosts a Redshift Community of Practice on the second Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., a potential resource for answering your Redshift questions.
