Vice Provost Allison La Tarte began her one-year appointment as chair for the Association of American Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE) Council in April. As chair, her responsibilities include:
- Leading the council, including ensuring goals and initiatives are planned, prioritized, and tracked.
- Serving as the primary contact between the council and AAUDE staff.
- Acting as the council’s spokesperson to AAUDE’s member institutions and inviting their feedback. Add Post

Allison’s chair appointment represents her second year of a three-year term on the council.
AAUDE, a public service organization, strives to improve the quality of data used in higher education decision-making by facilitating the exchange of data and information. AAUDE helps establish standardized data definitions, ensuring that when universities compare themselves, their data points are equivalent.
Data from AAUDE informs key analyses, including time-to-degree, tuition and fees, graduate student stipends, salaries, and ad hoc requests, resulting in timely, high-impact reports that support leadership decision-making and strategic planning.
